Saving and organizing

Downloads, private collections, uploads, imports, collaborators, and limits.

Where do my saved images go?

Your saved images live in your device's default downloads location.

  • iPhone: your Photos app

  • Android: your Files app, usually under Downloads or Images

  • Desktop: your Downloads folder, unless you've chosen to save somewhere else

If you're having trouble finding a file, search for it by name. On desktop, check your browser's download history.

Can I make a collection private?

Yes. Make a collection private and it's visible only to you. Your all elements collection is private, too. If you invite collaborators, they'll have access to that private collection. Otherwise, it stays yours alone.

Can I upload my own content?

Yes. Open Create (+) > New element to upload images, videos, or notes. Your upload becomes an element that you can organize into collections and revisit anytime from your profile. Your elements remain yours. Keep them private, or share them with the whole Cosmos community.

Can I import my Pinterest boards?

Yes. You can import Pinterest boards, Are.na channels, and Tumblr blogs. Import is available on web for now and coming soon to mobile.

On web, go to Create (+) > Import, choose the source, and follow the prompts. No extension needed. Each board, channel, or blog becomes its own collection; Tumblr blogs are saved as a private collection.

Private boards, boards with sections, and imports of more than 5,000 items aren't supported. Video pins and Tumblr text posts are skipped.

Can I collaborate on a collection?

Yes, with Premium. Open the collection's ••• menu or share sheet, choose Invite Collaborators, and send the invite link. Collaborators can view and add to that collection, including private ones.

Is there a limit to how many elements I can save?

No. There's no cap on elements, saves, or collections.
